FAQ’S for St. John’s Temporary Worship Location Starting January, 2027
When are the dates we will be worshipping in the community room?
January 10, 2027,through the end of March, 2027 (these are projected start and end times)
Why are we going to worship in the community room instead of the gym?
Acoustics in the gym make it very hard to hear – even with microphones. Setup and tear down would be very challenging in the gym. We would need to tarp the gym floor each Sunday to protect it – which can be a tripping hazard. The Community Room will fit everybody if the congregation does a good job splitting up their attendance between the two services. The Community Room is also a more intimate and inviting space that will lend to creating new relationships and worship experience.
When will the service times be?
8:45am & 10:30am
Why did we change the service times?
Since the Community Room is a smaller space than our worship center, we needed to choose two times that will spread out people between the services. These times have worked well for Easter Services for the last three years, so we have some back-data to support this. Additionally, to be able to setup, have the band rehearse, do two services, then reset the Community Room, these times work the best.
What will the style of worship be?
Both services will be modern-style worship with some hymns added in. The services will be identical in style.
Will there be nursery and children's church?
