Serve at St. John's
For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Mark 10:45
We encourage all members and friends of St. John's to find fulfillment in using their gifts to serve others! We're blessed by each person who helps out in and around our church. There's a place you can plug in here too. Check below for the various teams that could use your help.
Please fill out the the form at the bottom of this page if you would like more information about any of our teams!
Volunteer Teams
Worship Teams
If you play an instrument and have some experience with contemporary worship music, contact us about becoming a part of the worship team at the 9:45am service.
We also offer a classic service every Sunday at 8:00am. This traditional service features hymns and a variety of classic music offerings. If you are interested in serving as an instrumentalist, this could be the place for you!

Worship Production Team
St John's has a group of volunteers devoted to producing our worship services with excellence. Our team assists with video presentation software (Pro-Presenter), lighting, audio controls, video-taping, and many other tasks associated. No experience is necessary, training provided.
Altar Guild
Altar Guild is a ministry of preparation. Jesus wanted our senses active as we receive the forgiveness He earned for us, so he instituted Holy Communion for His people to taste and touch. Be a part of preparing the table where so many have an intimate connection with God and with each other. Joining Altar Guild involves a minimal time commitment of serving one Sunday per month at one service per month. The total time commitment is 15-30 minutes. If you're already at St. John's for worship, please prayerfully consider joining the Altar Guild team.
Sunday Greeters
Do you love people? The first step in loving our community comes as people walk through our doors. We need friendly people before our 8am service or our 9:45am service to welcome others to our church.
Safety Teams
Medical responders are needed to serve on our Safety Team on Sunday mornings. Medical responders must have training and experience in First Aid/CPR, be able to handle all medical calls and assume control of a medical emergency. Responders would report and communicate with the St. John's Safety Director and team. Doctors, nurses and medical personnel would be ideal candidates for this ministry.
Children's and Youth Ministry
If you love working with children, we would love to talk with you! Lead teachers and assistants are needed for children 3 years old to 4th grade.
If you love hanging out with pre-teens and teenagers, we would love for you to volunteer as one of our youth mentors in our youth groups!

Worship Service Team
Worship Service Teams are a great way to connect with people on Sundays! Ushers are an important part of our worship services and typically serve 1 or 2x/ month. Our Communion Assistants help in serving the Lord's Supper. We welcome men with hearts striving to serve the Lord to assist in serving communion. We ask that you serve once a month. Assisting with communion is a simple, yet vital, part of our services at St. John's.
Life Group Leader
Life Groups are groups of people that live out their faith together. It is our desire to see disciples of Jesus coming together with one another outside of worship, engaging with God's word, and looking for ways to serve their community. We're always looking for new leaders to form groups. Check out our Life Groups page for more information.
