Taking time to pray as a group can have a huge impact on our faith lives.

There are many ways to pray! Why not try a new method?

1. Group Prayer - Take time to share thanksgivings and requests with one another. Have a leader begin with an opening prayer. Then provide time for others to chime in with prayers. Have a leader end the prayer.

2. Journaling - Take time to share your thanksgivings and requests with one another, having one member write them down in a journal. Have a time of group prayer, praying for the needs of others that were shared. At the beginning of your next prayer time, take out the journal to see what prayers God has said yes to, no to, and not yet.

3. Category Prayer - Set a timer for 10 minutes. Have a leader say a category, such as "work." Then the group prays for work related prayers. Then, the leader could say another category, such as "our neighbors," "the sick," "our families," "school" and etc. Keep going until the timer chimes.

3b. ACTS - Category prayer with the categories of Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication!

3c. Lord's Prayer - Category prayer with the categories of the petitions of the Lord's Prayer.

3d. Apostle's Creed - Category prayer with the categories of the articles of the Apostle's Creed.

3e. Pick a Psalm - Category prayer with the categories of the words of a psalm! Be sure to appreciate the psalm's realism, depth and the way it might challenge us without resolving the issue for us.

4. Prayer in 2s - Seperate into 2s, share your request with the other person and then pray for one another.
